Acrylic on canvas this one. Replied to ad online request for artist to paint a restaurant scene so emailed some of my stuff and she gave me her instructions and reasons for the painting. It was a commission for a painting of Papa Joe's restaurant in Dundee for a lady who wanted the finished painting as a wedding present for her brother and his wife. The restaurant was where they met on their first date and apparently he parked his Porsche car on double yellow lines and got a ticket and they had a right laugh about it. Maybe should've parked more sensibly. Anyway she requested the Porsche to be included in the picture and also a couple dining. The restaurant has various objects on shelves in the window and also planes and other items hanging from the ceiling inside. I placed the black Porsche with the private number plates as an object in the shelves in the window. I also made the painting into a night time scene to accentuate more vivid colours and depth. It was well received when I handed it to the buyer and has a frame and hanging on their wall at home.
