I remember this press interview. It was soon after the Lennon statement about Jesus's popularity compared to Beatles. Someone said they'd heard Eleanor Rigby was about a prostitute. McCartney sarcastically led them on agreeing it was true.

Thanks Ian I never knew that I have seen footage of these press conferences around that time they seemed a bit darker than the happy bouncy ones from a couple of years previously
