I always love paintings that have a brightness about them, and this one certainly does even with the impending storm!

Thank you everyone. The sky comes over rather vividly on my screen (and all screens vary) where it has a far more natural hue towards gunmetal on canvas. It could also be my photography! However the brightness as Jennifer notes certainly comes across.

Excellent use of light on the coast as that storm is rolling in. A good use of your darks and contrasting lights it really provides interest for this excellent seaside painting.

This oil painting started life as a demonstration piece at my local club. Needless to say it didn't progress this far on the night and lay dormant for a few months. Upon resurrection it has taken on new vigour and I'm quite pleased with the result. 60cm x 40cm.
