Sorry to be something bad in the woodpile but why is there water in the basin , and the plug is dangling from the tap? . Incredible piece of painting and I admire your skill if not your knowledge of plumbing. <br />For me it is too perfect .

Hyperrealism is all the rage these days and this one certainly shows a lot of skill. The water and the plug are intriguing.

The Plug out and the water still in the bowl was intentional, hence the title. Some wag also asked me why it couldn&#39;t be called &quot;Blocked Sink&quot; which also appeals to my sense of humour!

Hi Geoff, I was actually thinking that the water might not be water at all! More like the soap ring that appears by magic in my own sink.<br /><br />Many might not care for photo-realism, but I very much admire the technical skill necessary to pull it off. I also took a look at your other work, which shows your diversity. Whether some call trompe-l&#39;oeil art or not, I love it, and admire your work.
