Hi Peter, this painting brings back good memories, I spent 10 days in Scotland last sept, I took some shots of Eilean Donan and they are still waiting to be painted, you have jogged my memory, I like the contrast in your paintings.

Thanks. This is such an iconic view that any painting is going to be compared with thousands of remembered images, both photos and paintings. It doesn't stop me trying though! I actually think the castle is best viewed from Dornie side as the mountain backdrop adds more to the composition
