How clever of you to find such a lovely subject in something that others would find too ordinary to bother with. It just shows you - inspiration is all around us! Lovely variety of colours in the bricks.

Hi, Thea, thanks for your comment. The wall in question was revealed by renovation work in a cottage next to mine. There was also a very old and rusty lamp hung on the wall (subjetc of another painting!). The tragedy was that soon after the wall was revealed it was painted white. Pete
