I am trying to find a style I enjoy and can get to be good at. I have always loved wildlife, since I was a boy. What I'm trying here is a landscape that captures the feeling of a forested valley waking up after Winter. It is painted with oils on plywood, I tend to find painting in a controlled, tight style much more comfortable than a looser style, I aim to get better at both. The picture is 21 x 18 inches.
