Fishing Fleet in Dublin Bay in the year 1909 Watercolour 16'' x 12''
About six or seven years ago I purchased a bargain basement book which was full of black and white photographs of Dublin in the early twentieth century. I painted one watercolour at that time showing fishing boats in Howth Harbour which I came across the other day and posted to my gallery. Here is another painting which I have painted today from the same book. It shows these wonderful sailing fishing boats fishing in Dublin Bay off The Head Of Howth. I have added some colour to the scene but not much.
