Lane At Westerham - After Hilder
Watercolour on Arches NOT paper. 1/2 Imperial. Looking around for inspiration yesterday, I came across this in 'Rowland Hilders Country' , a wonderful book. The original looks like it's been done in oils. I've added my own touches, but essentially it's the same scene. I used a limited palette of Burnt Umber, Paynes Grey, Ultramarine, Cad Yellow, Light Red and some white Gouache for highlights.
