An iddylic scene nicely caught Pete. Good work.

Hello Peter. I was at the workshop too. I really admired your painting today and it looks so well here. I have also put my effort online. I did not go Plein Air but did my drawing outside then stayed in studio to paint - touch of hay fever. Jem did a great job.

Hard to pinpoint one aspect, just like the whole thing.

I like Jem's work so a good workshop to be on. Well done on this super sketch Peter.

Excellent painting Pete, great sky made up or not. As we both know this is one of Jem’s areas of expertise I wonder did he have any influence on this one?

Thanks Barry. Yes, it's fair to say that Jem is a big influence. He painted the scene the day before, as we watched.

Thanks Jim, appreciated.

Super take on this lovely scene Pete, made up or not, that's a great sky.

Thanks Maureen. Yes, it was one of the best workshops I've been to. Sorry about your hay fever. I, too, suffer a bit, but it's tree pollen with me, so a different time of year.

Thanks Alan. Your comments are always valued.

Thanks Tony. Glad you like it.

Thanks Stephen. It was an excellent 2 days.

Thanks Margaret

Watercolour on Arches NOT paper. 140lb. 1/2 imperial. I've just spent a fabulous 2 days with Jem Bowden at East Devon Arts. This was painted today en Plein Air. Thankfully the weather kept dry this year, but seeing as visibility was hampered by sea mist, it left a lot to the imagination. The sky in particular was totally made up. Great workshop. Thanks Jem.
