This is lovely and unusual, great composition. Love your textures on the stone steps in particular, well worth your hard work!

I agree with Carole, your hard work paid off. Doesn't look as though you struggled at all, just looks like it all came naturally to you. That stonework is brilliant.

I think this is lovely Peter, the terracotta colour used in the brickwork as well as the pot gives it a lovely warmth. Great composition too.

This looks like a natural still life, something you'd be likely to see if you look for it but we so often pass by without noticing. The textures on the stones are lovely and I really like the terracotta pot with its smoother man-made surface. Sorry I can't be critical, as you requested but can only be complimentary...

Wonderful colour....I liked this instantly. you ask for any critical comments...I hesitate to say this and do it with my tongue in my cheek...But is your terracotta bowl ever so slightly pregnant, even considering the fact that it was in France?!

Lovely textures, stonework very impressive, great painting.

this is very very good love the fruit you can just pic out off the picture and the rock wall you painted so real, very impressive. great.

really good apples :-) i like how you have their colour just right, dashes of red one side and green the other, really realistic :-)

Thanks Rebecca, the base background of the apple was done with a wet into wet wash of various reds and greens, with the intensity at the shaded area, adding cobolt blue for the shade effect, the darker high lights were done with an almost dry brush dragging it lightly over the paper in an ark to follow the contour of the apple shape. Hope this helps. Thanks again every one for your great comments.

This not my normal type of work, was painted whilst on an art course in France, really had to work hard on the textures, especially. with the changing light. Would love any critical comments please.
