Another very fine watercolour. Great skill. Wonderful composition.

I agree with Pat, lovely

this is really realistic, and as good as a photo Peter, you are very talented :-)

Every thing about this is great Peter. I love the background trees and the rich texture of rust on the JCB.

One thing I dislike about this painting: the fact that this machine has been left to rust in the countryside! But the rest is all positive: great painting and a wonderful idea to choose an off-the-wall subject (a hard one too) and make it expressive and personal. Thanks for looking at my stuff Peter. You asked about my favourite paper. I use Fabriano Artistico, preferably Extra-White for the mountains (adds a touch more sparkle to the snow). It's pure cotton, probably no better or worse than other high quality brands, but it's become 'predictable' for me (also in its unpredictability) both stretched and non-. I always use loose sheets and cut them up as required.

It looks as though it's just flopped there .... rather poignant..........

Out of all the subjects you paint Peter I think the disgarded machinery are my favourites. You imply, with paint, such a mood of hopeless abandonment, you make me feel sorry for whatever peice of machinery it is you've concentrated on.

A subject I wouldn't dare tackle, not brave enough, but you've made it into a beautiful watercolour and a lovely addition to your gallery.

Beautiful...... it blends into the countryside but contrasts with the feathery trees! Lovely palette.

It's all been said. I love the detail, yet it is dreamily wistful too, if that makes sense.

Found this old JCB in the wilds of Derbyshire some years ago, but constructed the setting. Backing ford - not - 45 x 30 cm
