Lovely work Peter, lovely colours as well, a great feature to paint with lovely features to the stones and bricks

This really drew me in. Lovely textures and colours. Lots of intriguing shapes.

Fantastic painting Peter, I really like the composition

Great subject, I can see why you were drawn to it. I like the painting and don't think you have overdone it at all.

Wonderful painting - love the colours and especially the textures.

Love this, very striking, and the textures not overdone at all for me. Should the edges fade out? For me, they almost do through your use of 'hot' colour for the oven, 'warm' for the surrounds and then more blues at the periphery , which makes these colours perfect for the subject. I'm not sure that fading the edges would add anything, but I guess you'd need to see it to know! Incidentally, thanks for making me aware of Richard Bolton, just bought a couple of his books. Very interesting, although they do encourage me to read more - which I reckon I shouldn't - as opposed to paint more, which I definitely should!

Love the textures and colour in this superb painting Peter.

Can only agree with all the other comments..... it's superb! So real and wonderfully warm colours. Your rusty bits are great.

Clererly done. I love those textures.

Just been going through your gallery (which I don't think you use any more) and I love this one that I've never seen.

I found this bread oven in the side of an old house, whilst holidaying in France, just had to paint it. Funnily enough the house was still occupied. Loved trying to create the textures, may be slightly over done, possibly should have painted it on a larger paper and allowed the edges to fade out, love your comments.
