Stonework not that good, are you serious! I think it is wonderful, you could reproduce this as a Christmas card. What a lovely church and it looks like its in the middle of nowhere. I would like to see it if you did it again.

It's a fabulous piece, Peter, with a lovely story to go with it! The stonework looks good, especially since it's just hinted at. Too much emphasis would have distracted from the entire scene. I think you got it just right.

agree the stonework is very well done.......how romantic to marry in such a beautiful church

I agree with the others, the stonework seems good to me, the rest is pretty good too!

This is perfect Peter, the stone work is spot on and I love the little detail of the snow sliding off the roof. Like Hazel says it would make a lovely Xmas card.

What a wonderful memory of your perfect day. This would make a great contender for the Christmas Card competition.

A very nice winter scene :)

What a perfectly lovely way to remember the day. Beautiful!

Beautiful.

lovely painting, Peter, and perfect in my eyes, thanks for sharing your memories with us

Beautiful painted church! Lovely watercolor! Sky is a very well done wash!

Great watercolour, lovely church and the masonary is spot on.

Hi Peter, I always think how you paint these pieces by watercolor? They are amazingly sensitive worlk.

Just wonderful including the story. I wish the youngsters of today would be able to experience similar warmth of heart and lifelong partnerships.

What a wonderful watercolorist you are Peter - a lovely gallery and thank you for your very kind comment !

The day of our wedding, held at St Giles church, at Marfleet, Hull. It was actually like this, there was 6" of crisp white snow that nobody had walked on. The church was and I'm sure is still like this, but if you view to the left, it is an industrial estate and if you view to the right its a lovely view of the dock. That certainly didn't deter the day as 42 years later it's still as good as it was then. This is one of my earliest pictures, should really try it again, as the stone work texture is not that good. Bockingford - Not - 40 x 35 cm
