Very fine work - a complete mastery of figures. I like Mont St Michel in the bg

The Labrador makes me smile- yes a mastery of figures. But don't forget the shadows and light although they are there - just no quite strong enough. Great Though. Are you like me cannot stop painting? Just of to finish a small one.

Thanks Jeannette - might re-work the shadows as I think that's what is missing - couldn't see it myself till you pointed it out - you are totally right.

That Labrador makes me smile - Your figures they are amazing - I just want to keep looking. Best wishes Jeannette

You are so good for me Jeannette - you do my ego & confidence the world of good - thank you - started THE portrait today - with hat!!!

A group of friends enjoy a game of boules at the beach - just a "friendly "game but an intense competition with many of my other works) shows not a scrap of interest in the procedings while there is just a hint of curiosity from the old man chatting to his grandson. This was put together from photos of characters taken in a number of different places - the majority in France (some appear in other paintings of mine) The little boy eating the ice cream is actually my own grandson - and NO, the old man is not me!!! Mixed media - acrylic & alkyd oil on board 20in x 16in
