Conversation Piece

Your work is fantastic. I love every single piece (so it’s taken me ages to decide which one to leave a comment on) You really have a talent for being able to capture a moment it time.

Many many thanks Lauren - Don't know about the talent for capturing a moment - I think I have a talent for copying photographs - or at least composing paintings from a combination of photos - this one combined elements from 4 photos - the two men were from photos taken in different towns in different years - the dog lives in Huddersfield - Mont St Michel was on a postcard and the wall & foreground purely out of my imagination - put together on my computer - printed on to A4 paper then squared up on to the bigger board - not art - just draughtsmanship -- that's what I used to do in engineering many years ago.

You should give yourself more credit. It takes an incredible talent to be able to combine different photos and make them look like they belong together. (I certainly don’t have the ability to be able to do that) Realism is extremely difficult and you have mastered it entirely. Great work

Have been having a good look through your work ,as there is so many i thought i would just use this one to say that your work is truly exellent ! more so the portraits of people in conversation or whatever they may be doing and you have captured the moments to perfection! the paintings dont need a title! they speak for themselves, you can almost hear the conversation or the one having his lunch break as he is chomping away, i could go on . I dont know how you do it but they are spot on! Brilliant. Harry.
