Like the composition and title Paul.

I love this Paul, i feel like I’m sitting there with them.

I really like this. A painting that tells a story and invites the viewer to think about what they're seeing always gets my vote.

Super piece Paul. Yes oils are the one.

Thanks to everyone for the supportive comments.

Love the feeling in this one Paul! The simple use of the mobile screen to fix not only the gaze of the man but the focal point of the picture is very clever. The eye bounces back and forth between the man's glasses and the screen, then 'escapes' along the legs to the well placed figure at the end which acts as a full stop, keeping the eye from falling out of the picture. Great composition.

I've been working in all directions since I began painting in 2010. Although I still will attempt something in watercolour or pastels, I've been working almost exclusively in oils for the last couple of years. Last year I made a pact with myself to do more, or perhaps I should say, start doing figurative work - this is the first, completed last year. The subject matter came from a holiday on Mull, shared with some friends. Just one afternoon was too wet to venture out so we lounged about.
