Superb painting Paul.

A terrific piece, full of interest.

Super painting Paul, a grey, wet day perfectly portrayed

A fab painting with a great sense of place and weather (love that shiny pavement)

Just added a Heart Paul.

Great work, Paul, nice easy detail and light.

A beautiful painting skilfully done.

Superb painting - a very recognisable scene and so atmospheric!

Lovely sense of that wet, at times English weather Paul. Not over detailed just right.

Love your composition and treatment of light and shade with your subdued palette. Great job!

This is super all round - but I specially like the foreground reflections in the wet pavement.

Oil on panel; 30cm x 54cm. I’ve enjoyed painting this one. It’s a view I’ve been wanting to paint for a long time, and I think it’s one I will come back to and paint again from a different angle/different time of year. This one has been painted from a photograph that I took just before I broke up for Christmas. as I wanted something to work on over the festive break (because what’s more festive than the smell of white spirit and an easel in your lounge!!)
