So beautiful, both the bird and the painting Paul

You're a seriously good painter of birds, and should be illustrating a field guide - no one would have the least difficulty recognizing what they saw with these lively and accurate studies to help them. (And I know you don't just paint birds - you're seriously good at the other things you paint, too: take a look, everyone, at the detail of the leaf, bud and branch in this.)

Another wonderful painting Paul!

Thank you so much Glynnis and Christine, every comment helps to encourage me to paint more paintings like this one.

Robert - you have such kind comments and one that I already have an idea on. ;-) When time allows I intend to have a go at botanical painting, now I know zilch about plants, gardening etc but it's more about the detail, shapes and colours that I would be interested in. I have already taken lots of detailed photos at a local private garden where there are many fantastic flowers and plants. So maybe soon........thank you! Paul

Really fabulous Paul. The wren is spectacular, also I wish I could paint leaves like this.

You say that you love to capture the life in the eyes of your subjects, well you certainly have in this little chap. It's a beautiful painting Paul.

Paul, this is such a lovely portrayal of this noisy little bird!
