Another beauty. Looking forward to seeing the Devon birds this autumn. Have just booked.

Love these cheeky chappies, lovely painting.

Your bird paintings are just jaw droppingly super Paul, and your branches that the birds perch on are just as good, those how to do it postings that you did online were fascinating, the amount of detail is just so good

Thank you Pat, hope you have a good time in Devon this autumn. Are you staying in North or South Devon? Thank you Karly and Ros I'm in the process of maybe doing this as another tutorial (as soon as time allows). :-)

Beautiful Paul, I love that horse chestnut branch too. I have a family of robins in back garden and a family in the front garden. Of course they all look similar so I call them all Ronnie. Just shout 'Ronnie' when I feed them and up they come!

Another cracker of a bird Paul, beautifully enhanced by that super horse chestnut branch.

Thank you Carole, two families of Robins! You are so so lucky. and nice photo opportunities for the 'Ronnies'. Thank you Val, it made a change painting all those colours in the branch.

Another beautiful painting Paul

Love robins and love your beautiful painting.

Wonderful Robin, Paul. Beautifully painted.

Robin in watercolour/acrylic, size approx A5 and on SAA 300gsm paper. This one took around 12 hours to complete from start to finish and was a lovely one to do! The horse chestnut branch has such a lovely myriad of colours so lot's of mixing, testing and playing with the paint, true joy! :-) I took the photo from a bird hide in Devon watching over the river Torridge for the elusive otters, which we did see! Hope everyone is well and enjoying their painting! :-) http://www.devonartist.co.uk/
