gorgeous of course Paul, you achieve such levels of detail and accuracy with your birds, they are always such lovely colours as well and the fence posts or bracnches they are perched on are painted so beautifully as well

I've just watched a programme on iPlayer about Polly Morgan who is an artist who uses taxidermy as part of her art. She had nearly finished a miner (?) at the end of the programme .... This is another exquisite painting, without the use of road-kill or plaster!

Another great bird painting

I love your great tit in its rather bashful pose Paul. Superb work as always.

Beautiful detailed work. I have just read your article in the latest mag - well done - it is very informative and interesting.

Thank you for your comments on my work Paul,I have just dialed up your site and I must say, your work is way beyond good.Like me, I think you have a great affinity to wildlife.Look forward to seeing more.

Hello Paul, Thank you for your kind comments about my Barn Owl. Looking at your work, I must say that it is high praise indeed. You might recall sending me a project last year. Your piece in the Leisure painter (Dec 2013), about painting a Robin greatly helped me improve my approach to painting birds in watercolour as well as using pastel.
