Yes, Paul, I like this one. Colours work very well.

The colours work perfectly Paul. The misty background really sets off the dry brush work, a beautiful woodland pool surrounded by birch tree's. I really like it Paul.

Thank you ladies. Appreciate the comments.

I like the complimentary colours in this, the trees show up very well Paul.

Like Carole, I think the palette is outstanding, and showcases the stones and trees. The atmosphere is also super.

Thank you all for these latest comments. I'm pleased you like it. Kind regards

Now this I really like. The light, the colours and the composition are just wonderful

Thank you Dawn. Appreciate the compliment

Watercolour 14x10 inch on rough pratice paper. This is a second attempt at this scene. First time I painted dark trees against a light sun setting background but I had problems with the foreground shadows and counterchange and basically couldnt work it out. I also had problems mixing the right oranges and browns etc. Then the other day I saw a pattern on a carpet (honest!) that made me think of the scene again. I decided to change the colours and make the trees light against dark although I havent gone anywhere near as dark as first intended. I still think its missing some additional interest but its miles better than the first attempt and I can now put it to bed and move on. Comments re improvements welcomed.
