Sycamore Seeds by Paulette Farrell

'Sycamore Seeds' when I first spotted these, two things struck me, the bright green of the seeds and the lovely twisted shape of them altogether. At first I tried painting them in watercolour (failed) then oil (failed) and then resorted back to my love - graphite. By this time they were no longer green but had dried to shades of dark green and brown. I don't think I've ever tried something for the third time but I felt that I couldn't let them go undrawn. 8 x 8 on bristol
