Completed in charcoal and white conte pastel this is an original drawing. The drawing depicts a referee sending off a footballer after committing a foul. The drawing is a classic football scene and the story is plainly seen. The body language of both characters is strong and was of particular interest for me. The slumped, resigned body of the footballer turning away to walk off and the determined 'you've had all your chances' expression of the referee is a powerful picture.
