Your bird paintings catch the creature as it IS - not as they're so often oh-so-carefully depicted in bird books (which I don't disparage, because they serve a different purpose).

Thanks Robert, I know what you mean. People spend so much time painting or drawing birds to amazing detail but for me it makes it so static and birds are always moving, they are never still and they are little characters in their own way, not generic. Personal preference here.

This little starling was gazing up into the sun standing in the feeding tray, luckily I had my camera right there and snapped him. I painted him a couple of weeks ago when we first entered this lockdown, it lifted my spirits watching him and hopefully it will others. He is sold and will be making his way to the US.
