Romeo on Patrol

Romeo on Patrol (2)

I love the expression in his eyes, you can see he is guarding his territory.

Wildlife works are so often done in a photo-realistic manner, it's wonderful to see such a loose and expressive approach. Excellent.

You paint birds beautifully and with real individuality.

What a beautiful expressive study, Paulette!

This bird is alive and raring to go. The loose approach to this painting has given it so much dynamism.

This is Romeo again, he's such a presence in the garden it's hard to ignore him. He is also a really good looking bluetit. He keeps himself fit by chasing about every other clinging on bird away from the feeders. Here he is on patrol, guarding his territory. Drawn in charcoal and pastel on Pastelmat paper 30cm x 40cm.
