Thank you Pat, for your very nice comment on my butterfly and portfolio! It is much appreciated and helps me alot, as a fairly new painter. I am trying to find my style, if one can do that, which is why so many different subjects. Do you find it helpful to paint what you are attracted to, or what you think others will be attracted to? Hang on Studio Wall

Oil on canvas 50cm x 40cm. The last of the tulips this year. They have withstood rain, cold and wind in the garden but keep coming back to their best, especially now with the sun. This didn't take long to paint, just one initial ground and blocking in with transparents, then more opaque lights and lastly a bit of glazing. I think this will look better unframed so I shall leave it as it is.
