Your dedication is tremendous Patsy! I think I would have given up and gone on to something else, and maybe come back to the original problem after say.... a year??

This work is looking good. I was interested to hear about your course, Patsy. I love pen and ink work. I'm studying with the Open College of the Arts at present, doing a painting course(oil and acrylics). I've done two drawing courses with OCA too.

This is the sixth incarnation of this painting...it is still in progress but I managed to get the greens in...I emailed an Australian magazine called Artist Palette about Australian Greens and they included a wonderful feature on the mixing of the dreaded greens...now I can't say that this was because of my email because there was only a week between my email and the issued magazine...the feature was done with a bunch of green grapes in a few lights and giving the mixes for all of the hues and shades...wonderful...I decided to leave the scarp to last because it entails a lot of pen work which I really love and after all of the angst I wanted something to look forward to
