I created this painting some time ago of a view of a tiny hamlet called Snowgate Head, Holmfirth, in West Yorkshire. It turned out to be the first time I had introduced anything animate into a painting, since starting to paint seriously in the early 90's. At one time this large painting was hanging in a Hebden Bridge gallery in Calderdale. Mercifully it was sold and with its new owner before the floods that year! Painted in acrylic glazes on board.
