Thank you very much, Andrew! I painted more pictures on this subject, which I will be posting eventually, so watch this space! As an aside , looking at examples of your work, you seem to favour a low viewpoint in your landscapes, as I do...am I right?

I like the way you’ve tackled the foliage against the solid structure of the buildings.

Another in my 'Hedgerow' series (with apologies for the poor photograph) , this one painted en plein air from exactly the same spot as "Hedgerow Grasses", with Lake Coniston behind me and myself sitting under the huge tree at the bottom of the field, looking up at Bank Ground Farm.
