I was really pleased when I felt I had actually managed to capture in paint the essence of the photographic reference for this picture of two "little brown jobbies", as birders call them!.Having spent the last year or so gradually developing a bird feeding station outside a window, now I had managed to take a snap of my own that was good enough to use as a painting reference.
