I had been hoping to sketch these unusual little Breton sheep that scorching day in Dorset, but was forced to refer to some photographs I managed instead, as it was so hot that the animals were sheltering in deep shade under an old farm cart, and my only chance of taking a half decent reference picture was to wait until one of them ventured out into the sunshine briefly and gave me a suitably interesting pose! I particularly wanted to draw their beautiful horns! Pencil drawing on paper.
