Topographical drawing for "First Snow" by Jo Morton
A now somewhat scruffy plein air study drawing, carried out while sitting on a marvellous vantage spot, Rannerdale Knotts in the English Lake District. Fortunately I had managed to sketch the main outlines the day before while on a recce, so when I discovered that snow had fallen overnight it was a very quick job to trace these off and dash to my chosen perch! What a good thing I did, as later thick fog descended, completely obscuring the view, so fortunately I now had sufficient information to continue!
