Hiding in the skirting board - wish I had a cat on which I could displace my moral failings: I caught a mouse some weeks ago in a trap. It wasn't dead! I had to finish it off with a walking stick - I'm not at all sure I'm ever going to be able to forgive myself - if I'd had a cat, I could have blamed it..... Oh dear........

Oh poor walking stick! I am sure it will forgive you. lol!

Lovely detail and great eyes

Beautiful detail and colours...so real. Cats aren't always the answer but often the problem! Our female cat catches Wood mice and then releases them in the house ! Great fun trying to save one at 3 am!

I'm hooked on this one Pat, brilliant!

What a killer of a cat, excellent painting, the eyes are perfect :-)

Gosh - I don't envy the mouse!! Fantastic intense expression and what beautifully painted eyes. Super work.

Amazing drawing Pat - those eyes have a real emotional impact.

Thank you all very much for your encouraging comments.

Gosh what a scary stare, I pity that poor mouse. Fantastic work Pat.

Absolutely gorgeous. Love the rendering of the fur and the eyes.

Incredible detail Pat, and those eyes.......hypnotic!
