Beautiful sentiment and a finne painting Pat.

Art can help to bring out our true feeling and emotions in times of distress which you have done here in this touching and well painted picture..

A strong emotive painting Pat. Sadly I am on the same road as you after 58 years of being together. Stick your chin out and paste on that smile. 🌹

Oh Pat, so sorry to hear how you are feeling and to see it too. A really powerful painting.

Thank you everyone. This was a very personal study in watercolour. Looking at the finished painting, I can't help but think that this is the furthest away from the watercolour style of all my attempts. Why do you think this is? Should I stick to acrylics?

Hi Pat, I missed this posting and your question. Definitely don’t give up on the watercolour. Maybe go smaller and focus on one subject like skies. It’s such an exciting medium and can be done quickly. Remember it’s only a piece of paper.

I wanted to capture and preserve the memories of our 50 years together, through the colours of the rock strata. The rock which had been so strong when we were a couple, and was now crumbling beneath my feet.
