A beautiful painting with a very emotional narrative.

Huge improvement from your first bash at this, and all the better for subduing that detail in order to lead the eye in to the figure.

I think this was the most difficult painting to date, primarily because it features my late husband as the beachcomber. It's thanks to the WIP Forum that I was able to salvage the first attempt. Re-working a canvas is the thread.
