Emma Price sent in her version of Paul's July challenge saying: 'This is a small painting, 10" X 7". I used cerulean blue for the sky, and washes of sap green and burnt sienna as under painting. Then added the trees with yellow ochre and sap green, and added shadows of ultramarine and burnt sienna while wet. Once dry, I added details on the grass with aureolin and sap green, and used ultramarine and sap green for the shadowed hedge. Finally added the meadow flowers and trees, and used ultramarine and burnt sienna to paint shadows. Much looser than my usual style, so not very happy with it!'
