Janet Gledhill sent in her version of the exercise saying: 'I found exercise 3 "Rough Moorland "quite a challenge and a completely different experience to my usual watercolours. I used Sanders Rough 140 lb paper, and mixed a little flow enhancer into some water, just for the more fluid areas, but I did find to get the results needed I sprayed with water when I got into difficulties. I used most of the colours in the exercise, but had to mix a purple from cadmium red and ultra blue. The painting didn't come together until the last 15 mins'
