Michael Kummerer sent in his version of Paul's July challenge saying: 'I wetted the paper with clean water. first wash was of light raw sienna, then a wash of ultramarine blue with just a hint of paynes grey, below the horizon,a wash of sap green. on the horizon line the distant trees added on the still damp paper. The trees in the centre to left were dappled in with same wash on still damp paper, leaving gaps. Then sharpened with a small fan brush with a darkend green. Same for the fields, lighter grasses highlighted with white gouache tinted with green. Flowers aside the hedge white gouache stems and grasses scraped out.'
