Bob Biggart sent in his version of Paul's second challenge saying: 'Thought that I’d have a go at Paul’s challenge in the July Artist magazine. I normally try a sketch in my sketchbook to see how it will roughly go. However, due to time constraints, I haven’t done it again as a “Proper” watercolour, so this painting is on 150gsm cartridge paper, and measures 71/4" x 53/4” . For a change, I mixed my greens, instead of using modified tube greens. It gives the painting a more old fashioned look, but I was happy enough with the outcome to send it off as my entry this month. The horizon is not quite straight because of the paper bending..logical outcome when photographing cockled paper in a sketchbook.'
