Christine Kyles sent in her version of Paul's challenge saying: 'I have painted Paul's challenge for a second time using watercolour. I washed over the page with a mix of cadmium yellow and yellow ochre then sketched a few details of the boat and tree horizon with a pencil.I used a golden wizard brush and the half fan to create the tree horizon and again mixed lots of colours - alizarin crimson, burnt umber, burnt sienna, viridian hue - to create a stippled background for the trees and riverbank. The boats and the reflections were again difficult on this my second attempt but I used cobalt blue and sage green on one boat to create a different impression. The ripple reflections were painted using a half rigger for dragging through the colours.'
