Marvellous textures in this - actually, it reminds me of Constable in some passages.

Barry Lowe sent in his version of Paul's acrylic exercise saying: 'This was done on Aquafine Aquarelle Watercolour 300g/m paper (Cold Press, Grain Fin). Mostly palette knife , with a little brushwork. Reeves Medium Yellow, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, titanium white, mars black. Galleria Cadmium Red. I have done a little Acrylic painting , very much at the learning stage, and am attracted to an impressionist style. Also keen on learning how to use a palette knife in particular, although not for all images though. Whatever Paul’s view of my painting, I have really enjoyed painting this scene, which is not one that I would have immediately jumped at, as there is not much detail'
