Barry Saich sent in his version of Paul's January challenge saying: 'When I get artists block with my watercolours, I go back to drawing. This always gets my confidence back and revitalises creativity. I started this small painting with a black pen sketch in my journal on Bristol Smooth paper. I then simply dropped in watercolour wet in wet and lifted out the damp paint for softer edges, background features, snow effects and the fence wire.'
