Nena Parkes sent in her version of Paul's exercise saying: 'Primed board with yellow ochre and burnt sienna. Sketched analysis of space. Blocked in roughly sky, distant hills, wall and grass, the latter with cadmium yellow as undercoat to greens. Used flat brushes and Liquitex and System 3 acrylics. Built up further layers on the darker green shadow and the wall aiming towards a dappled shadow effect. Put some detail on the wall, added tree trunks. Finally added foliage and gate. This is a great project to overcome procrastination!'
