Sylvie Maney sent in her version of Paul's exercise saying: 'I painted this version of 'Shadows across a path' on MDF that I had coated twice with an acrylic medium to seal it, followed by three coats of white gesso. The whole painting was done using Liquitex heavy body acrylics. I used a magenta undercoat, painted thinly and allowed to dry, then followed this with heavier and progressively more textured marks throughout; scraping some marks back while the paint was still wet to create the trees and some grasses'
