Christine Kyles sent in her vesrion of Paul's challenge saying: 'I washed over the board using a yellow ochre, some cadmium red and vermillion using a credit card to cover the ground quickly. The boats I found quite hard to define but I used a fine brush and ultramarine blue to sketch and define the outline and then coloured in. For the trees and bushes I used a fan brush and dark green mixed with dots of reds, white and browns. I built up the colours by stippling the area. I used a half rigger to create ripples and an ink pen to define the masts then using a rigger I outlined them in white and also some of the reflections.'
