Missed the original but I certainly like this one- Where were you on holiday? Particularly like the contrast between the white posts and the flowers.

Hits you in the eye. I share your concern about the price of artists' paint - Lukas oil was recommended to me (by a very good artist who normally uses Michael Harding and Old Holland paints) a while ago as a good paint at a moderate price. And Jackson's own seems to be good. Look around online and try a few. Agree with you that you need to use the best you can.
