I really like this Denise, and your patience with using rice paper! Especially like that wonderful hairdo, and the way it comes down behind the ears, and sets off the earrings.

This was a bit of practice using rice paper. I've been working on rice paper intermittently. It's such a delicate base, I really think it takes some years to get to grips with it. The face is based on an actual b/w very old photo. I didn't want it to look realistic but more traditional so I made an interpretation. I based the hair style from the Song Dynasty. Ink and Japanese watercolour on rice paper. It's about A3 size.
