Ink Splashing. by Denise Cat
I've been doing a bit of my own study of Chinese art here and there. I recently came across Zhang Daqian born 1899. He became famous for his figures and landscapes. He had this method of ink splashing to create his landscapes. He was very forward thinking for his time. I was inspired to try a bit on ink splashing myself today after I had done the squirrels, seeing as I had all the inks and Chinese brushes out. Nothing to his standard of course but it was fun having a go. Ink on rice paper.
