Thats a resurrection if ever I saw one. The beehive days. Good charcoal work Denise.

Excellent Sketch Denise , good god I forgot about the beehive and how popular it was, most of my aunts had the same hair style.

She looks great, really good portrait Denise.

That’s a super ‘hair do’ Denise, nice sketch.

Blimey! That’s a big’un! Remember Janice “ I’ll give it five!”? ( Juke Box Jury, you’re too young Denise!)? Good sketch! ….I once had a “cottage loaf”, went with friends to the hairdressers ( Luigi’s, classy or what?) and we all came out with the same lacquered look. Memories! See what you’ve done Denise?

Those were the days! Terrific Denise.

I agree with John -= happy days and a good portrait

Takes me back to those heady days of youth Denise. Great blast from the past and a super result.

Great blast from the past, super picture.

Many thanks John, Paul, Sarah, Fiona, Marjorie, Chris, Heather, Carole and Stephen.

Lovely charcoal work Denise. It may be just my imagination in my old age, but girls always looked prettier in them days.

Lovely sketch, Denise. Very nostalgic - I remember well the fashion for beehives - not that I ever had one!

Good sketch Denise, I never did care for that look in girls of the sixties, much prefer the Cathy McGowan look

That is some hairdo!!

A great choice of photo Denise and it's a good sketch. As others have said, it brings back memories of the swinging sixties!

What memories you've stirred up Denise. I remember in the 1950's having a hairstyle called politely a DA. Along with ultra long Sideboards ( side burns ) The rear of the hair was drawn both sides at the back to meet in a straight line down the back of the head to look a bit like a Ducks A..... hence a DA Happy days.

A great drawing Denise, those were the days.

Because my age is a touch greater than yours, or at least I assume it is, this fashion missed my mother and aunts; but I remember there being a lot of it about - (I also remember my grandmother muttering "What does she think she looks like?"). I have a feeling it didn't last too long: as fashions go, off it went. It looks terribly dated to me, now, but you've wielded the charcoal to great effect anyway.

Great use of charcoal Denise in this beautifully nostalgic sketch.

Love it Denise

Beautiful portrait, Denise!

I came across a very old photo of my aunt, it was of poor quality but I couldn't resist sketching her with a beehive hairdo. Charcoal.
